VW Launches an Energy-Efficient Facility in Chattanooga: Infographic

On May 24, 2011, Volkswagen announced the grand opening of
Volkswagen’s LEED-aggressive manufacturing facility in Chattanooga,
Tennessee.

The plant is a perfect real-world example of how Volkswagen is
incorporating the Think Blue initiative, a holistic approach to
environmental sustainability, into everything we do. Think Blue’s goal
is to unify all of Volkswagen’s environmental activities and motivate
employees and customers to practice environmental responsibility in
their everyday lives. The Chattanooga plant will not only build and
bring fuel-efficient vehicles to market; it will also reduce waste and
emissions throughout the production process.
